Snake Island Spoolbase Value Engineering Project
Nigeria
Subsea7

Our Client intends to construct a new spoolbase in Nigeria for welding and preparation of subsea pipeline projects in the region. After initial design activities based on similar European projects, the Client appointed Royal Haskoning for value improvement practices. The basic design was updated to meet local standards and to fit local construction practices. A risk assessment was carried out to identify mitigation measures in order to complete the project within time and budget. In the value improvement practices the design was assessed against the background of the functional requirements in order to achieve cost and construction time savings. Our services also included a contract and permitting strategy.

Design Review Galeota Point Berth Rehabilitation
Trinidad & Tobago
BP, Trinidad & Tobago (BPTT), through ASCO ltd.

Royal Haskoning was retained as Expert Advisor on the project for the refurbishment and extension of the client’s offshore supply base at Galeota Point, located at the south eastern tip of Trinidad. A detailed design for rehabilitation and extension of the main jetty of the supply base, serving the client’s offshore gas fields, was prepared by a contractor under a D&C contract and formed the basis of a design review by Royal Haskoning. The resulting opinion report included a proposal for an alternative design as well as a review of the proposed quality procedures.
