Sakhalin Energy has selected Royal Haskoning in a consortium of AATA, an American company with a large network in Russia, SOS International and DNV, as their Integrated Service Provider for the Sakhalin Energy II project. This 10 billion $ gas project involves offshore platforms, offshore and onshore pipelines, an LNG-plant and a large number of supporting projects and projects concerning the infrastructure. To obtain Russian licenses, permits, international grants and share holders investments Russian, international and Shell environmental standards have to be met.


Royal Haskoning provides a self managing Health, Safety, Environment and Security-team (HSES-team). They constitute the core of the HSES-services department of the Sakhalin Energy II project organisation in Yuzhno Sakhalinsk. Royal Haskoning also supports project management teams with short term (1-6 months) experts and manages and contractually hosts all subcontracts on behalf of SEIC in the field of HSES-services.

Royal Haskoning was hired to set up an environmental management plan in order to manage environmental aspects of the float-over operation and installation of an oil production platform deck. The main purpose was to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental policy, procedures and targets of Dockwise, and Woodside and best international practice. This plan is aimed to demonstrate to all stakeholders that Dockwise will manage environmental aspects of its activities to their expectations.

Dragon LNG Ltd.

Dragon LNG Ltd is developing a terminal for the importation and storage of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) at its site at Waterston, Milford Haven, Wales, UK. LNG will be delivered to Milford Haven by marine tankers up to 145,000 m3 in size, which will berth at one of the existing jetties on the site and pump the LNG cargo into storage tanks. From the storage tanks the liquefied gas will be regasified and sent out to customers via a gas pipeline connected to the National Transmission System (NTS) operated by Transco. Services provided by Royal Haskoning: 


- Drawing up the Environmental Impact Assessment for the LNG plant;

- Drawing up the required planning applications.
