In a recent survey, reported upon in the Dock and Harbour Authority publication, Royal Haskoning and their sister company Haskoning BV were noted as being responsible for 34% of port and maritime related world-wide projects.

Royal Haskoning is registered with, and has carried out work for, many major finance agencies including the World Bank and the European Investment Bank.

Surveys, planning studies, detailed design and the supervision of construction works are undertaken principally in the fields of ports and harbours, infrastructure development, roads and bridges and transportation and major industrial and commercial projects.

Royal Haskoning have been responsible for the complete project management of port developments. This involves all project stages from initial conceptual design, supervision of site investigations and surveys, model testing, detailed port and container terminal design, preparation of contract documents for construction, tender evaluations, construction supervision and project management through to final commissioning of a new facility.
