Dover

Project Name:

Dover Terminal 2 Environmental Impact Assessment

Royal Haskoning is currently undertaking an Environmental Impact Assessment for a proposed scheme to construct four additional roll-on roll-off (ro-ro) ferry berths in the Western Docks of the Port of Dover.  This will involve extensive redevelopment of the Western Docks site including land reclamation, construction of a new marina to replace the moorings lost through the reclamation, access and egress highway works and the creation of operational infrastructure to facilitate the operation of the berths.  The project will examine the impacts of the proposed works on coastal processes, hydrodynamics, water and sediment quality, marine and terrestrial ecology, historic environment, fisheries and a range of other environmental receptors.

Palm Jebel Ali – Causeway Water Homes

Royal Haskoning has been selected to provide the detailed design for the causeways at each side of the base of the crescent from which stilt house clusters will be constructed.

Brighton

Brighton Yacht Marina

A number of investigations were commissioned to provide the necessary information for the design of the marina. These included hydrographic surveys, foundation investigations and tests using hydraulic models.

In addition to the initial studies and investigations Royal Haskoning undertook detailed design, preparation of the specification and construction supervision. Assistance was given with contract documentation and financial control.

Floating Proverb

Royal Haskoning in partnership with Dutch Docklands has proposed floating structures as the answer to the construction of the famed Sheik Mohammed Verse that adorns the Palm Jebel Ali ensuring its unique position within an iconic development.

Royal Haskoning is at the forefront of developing this technology in the UAE.

The final chapter in The Palm trilogy, The Palm, Deira was launched in November 2004, and will offer an array of exciting investment opportunities on the Trunk and the Corniche. It will further enhance the value of Deira by unlocking access to waterfront communities that will be developed on this iconic man-made island.

Royal Haskoning is providing the design for revetment, breakwater and reclamation activities as well as all the quay wall structures on the development.
